Senior Software Engineer - Laravel, Python and React Native

Job Description:

Are you an ambitious Engineer experienced with Laravel, Python and React Native? Looking to work with a talented team to expand your knowledge and work on creative and exciting yet challenging projects? Here’s an opportunity to join a multi-agency group working on projects with some of the world's best-known brands.

 

The package

• Up to £60,000 salary, negotiable based on experience.
• A monetary bonus paid annually (approx. 10% of your salary)
• Hybrid working - 2 days in the office, 3 from home.
• A commitment to training and development - you'll receive a £500 per year training budget, which can be spent on courses, exhibitions, talks, etc. Further budget is available case by case.

The role

You'll be responsible for creating and maintaining technology for websites (database and application) and Python-driven Tableau applications. You'll play a critical role within the web development teams and be responsible for handling data storage and ensuring content gets delivered.

What does the day-to-day look like?

• Building and maintaining web applications
• Building and maintaining tableau scrips or dashboards
• Building and maintaining React Native mobile applications
• Building reusable code for future use
• Optimising applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Building and maintaining unit tests
• Troubleshooting and debugging
• Testing the applications and websites you build​

• Understand server-side patterns and languages like PHP (Laravel), Python and React Native.
• Understand front-end web technologies like Vue2, Vue3, ReactJS, CSS
• Have the ability to manage a hosting environment, including database administration and scaling applications to handle load changes.
• Adhere to ‘security by design' principles.
• Know about accessibility and security compliance.
• Have a solid understanding of GDPR and its role in application development and data storage.
• Have good problem-solving.
• Be experienced with version control, such as Git.
• Have excellent verbal communication skills.
• Have good interpersonal skills.
